Colorado
If you have a view of the south end of the La Plata mountains then you should use Caviness which is north of Mancos Hill on the county line at 10,000ft. It is a UHF or a Combination antenna site. We do recommend that you use a pre-amplifier.
If you live south of Mancos down Weber Canyon, you should aim your antenna at the small building on the side of the hill above Pete Doerfer's. It is a VHF antenna site only.
If you live south of Cortez below about CR D, then you should aim your antenna at the Box Bar Ranch. It is located above the Yucca House National Monument. It is a VHF antenna site only.
If you live in the town of Dolores, then you should aim your antenna towards the bus barn on Hwy 184. It is a VHF antenna site only.
If you live in the Dove Creek area. you should aim your antenna towards Monticello and the Blue Mountains. It is a VHF and UHF antenna site. A combo antenna works well with a pre-amplifier.
Utah
If you live in Monticello, Blanding, White Mesa, La Sal, or if you have a clear line of site to the Blue Mountains, particularly Abajo Peak, you should use a combination VHF/UHF antenna. It would work optimally with a pre-amplifier.
If you live in Montezuma Creek, you should use a UHF antenna and aim the antenna at the water tank east of town.
If you live in Bluff, you should use a UHF antenna, and aim the antenna at the tower south of town above the river on the bluff.
If you live in Mexican Hat, you should use a UHF antenna, and aim the antenna to the tower above the gas station.
